Café Liberty will assist veterans who are unemployed or underemployed and looking to enter the culinary field. This program will professionally train participants for a lifetime career in the food service industry and/or serve as a bridge to an advanced culinary institution.
The eleven week program will be offered four times per year with between eight and ten participants in each class. Instructors and guest chefs from some of the area’s most elite restaurants will assist. Executive Chef Cheryl Corrado, former Executive Chef at CHIC (Cooking & Hospitality Institute of Chicago – Le Cordon Bleu) is developing the curriculum and will serve as the primary Executive Chef and Chef Instructor at Café Liberty.
