Description
Wheaton College presents a Symposium on Poverty and Resilience.
The event begins with a film screening of "The Line," a powerful documentary chronicling the new face of poverty in America. The film, from Emmy Award-winning producer Linda Midgett, portrays the personal stories of four Americans living below the poverty line, including a former business executive from DuPage County.
Following the screening, several Wheaton College professors and a local spokesperson for Bread for the World, a grassroots Christian advocacy group working to reduce hunger and poverty, will be available to discuss the film and offer opportunities to take action.
