Description
The Biblical and Theological Studies Department at Wheaton College presents a lecture by Professor of Old Testament John Walton. The lecture is titled "Origins Today: Genesis through Ancient Eyes."
Dr. Walton has been on faculty at Wheaton College since 2001. He is the author of numerous books, including The Lost World of Genesis One: Ancient Cosmology and the Origins Debate (IVP, 2009). He also serves as the general editor for a five volume series The Zondervan Illustrated Bible Backgrounds Commentary and a twenty volume Baker Commentary Series Teach the Text.
In this Tuesday evening lecture, Dr. Walton will discuss the message of Scripture within its ancient context, offering a fresh perspective on the complexities of the Genesis creation account.
