Description
The Marion E. Wade Center at Wheaton College offers a lecture by Christine Fletcher titled "Theology in Wartime: Dorothy L. Sayers and C.S. Lewis."
At the beginning of World War II, British Anglican writers Dorothy L. Sayers and C.S. Lewis engaged in a larger ecumenical conversation on how to cultivate justice in a post-war world. In this lecture, Dr. Fletcher will examine their discussions as a model for effective Christian engagement, particularly during times of national crisis.
Fletcher is an associate professor of theology at Benedictine University. She is the author of numerous articles on the ethics of work and on writer Dorothy L. Sayers. Following the lecture, Dr. Fletcher will be available to sign her newly released book The Artist and the Trinity: Dorothy L. Sayers' Theology of Work (Wipf & Stock Pub, 2013).
