Description
Wheaton College's Psychology Department presents the 31st Annual Scandrette Lecture. This year's lecture titled, "The Battle of the Heart: The Desert Fathers as Psychologists," will be delivered by Dr. Gerald Sittser.
Dr. Sittser is a professor of theology at Whitworth University and was recently named Most Influential Professor by the Whitworth class of 2011. He serves as chair of Whitworth's MA in Theology program as well as director of the school's Certification in Ministry program. He specializes in the history of Christianity, Christian spirituality, and religion in American public life. Dr. Sittser has written eight books including best-seller A Grace Disguised: How the Soul Grows Through Loss (Zondervan, 1996) which has been translated into more than 15 languages.
