Description
The 2012 Senior Home Sharing Legends and Legacies Gala. The event will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2012 and will feature legendary Chicago news anchorman Joel Daly.
Since 1981 Senior Home Sharing, Inc. (SHS) has offered direly needed affordable living options for DuPage area seniors. The agency fully owns and operates five shared living facilities, one in Elmhurst, two in Lombard, one in Downers Grove and one in Naperville. Seniors represent one of the fastest growing DuPage populations, yet affordable housing options for seniors remain scarce.
The Legends and Legacies Gala will be held at Harry Caray’s Ballroom at The Westin Yorktown Center in Lombard, IL. Beloved Chicago newsman Joel Daly will donate his time to entertain us with brief words of wit and wisdom during a keynote presentation we lovingly dub “A Senior Moment.”
On this special evening SHS pays tribute to those who have handed down the legacy of Senior Home Sharing; those who, thirty-one years ago, visualized the need. Those who, in the years since have helped establish the agency and those who will continue to build the agency in the coming decade.
