PAK has now hosted more than 100 children and their families over five sessions since December 2009. Approximately 80% of kids in the program decreased their BMI! This is one of few programs to help kids who are struggling with unhealthy weight – and it is the only program that is FREE. PAK is growing to reach more kids in communities across DuPage County so stay tuned for a site near you!
The PAK PLAN is an innovative and personal life-changing experience offered at no charge to children ages 8-14 who are considered obese or at risk. Designed by a respected group of health care, education, nutrition, and athletic leaders, it is much more than a simple diet or exercise program. It is a comprehensive, all inclusive program to treat the whole child…emotionally, physically and nutritionally, built around the stability and commitment of family.
