August Wheaton Chamber Membership Breakfast
Join us for a breakfast meeting with guest speaker Bob Goldsborough, local historian, journalist, and raconteur, who will share an overview of the history of business in Wheaton. From the first business people who lured the railroad to Wheaton and wrangled the county seat to today’s leaders, Bob will share how Wheaton grew from a small town on the edge of the prairie to the thriving suburban community it is today.

Bob writes a real estate column for the Chicago Tribune and has covered local news in Wheaton since 1987. He has written for the Tribune since 1993 and previously wrote for the Wheaton Leader and the Wheaton Daily Journal. Bob frequently gives talks on local history, including recent lectures on notable women in Wheaton’s history and on noted figures whose visages were Warhol-ized as part of Wheaton’s “Summer of Warhol.”
