Description
The documentary "Hating Breitbart" will be shown at Wheaton College. A Q&A session with director Andrew Marcus will follow the film screening.
The film "Hating Breitbart" is a dramatic account of media figure Andrew Breitbart (1969-2012), founder and overseer of the popular Breitbart websites: Big Government, Big Journalism, Big Hollywood, Big Peace, Breitbart.tv, and Breitbart.com. Early in his career in new media, Breitbart worked as editor for The Drudge Report. He also worked alongside Arianna Huffington to help start The Huffington Post. He authored Righteous Indignation: Excuse Me While I Save the World! (Grand Central Publishing, 2011).
Chicago-based writer and director Andrew Marcus is a graduate of the film school at the Art Institute of Chicago. Marcus began his career documenting protests. In 2009, while documenting the growing Tea Party movement, he decided to craft a documentary around the New Media icon Andrew Breitbart after seeing him address a crowd in Illinois.
