Description
The Marion E. Wade Center at Wheaton College hosts a screening of the documentary film "C.S Lewis: Why He Matters Today." In this film, Christian leaders Tim Keller, Eric Metaxas, Chuck Colson, Michael Flaherty and Douglas Gresham explain why C.S. Lewis, a professor of Medieval and Renaissance literature, still matters today, 50 years after his death. The documentary brings the beloved author's story to life. Following the screening, the film's writer Devin Brown and director Greg Bandy will lead a Q&A session. Producer/Director Greg Bandy has almost 30 years of experience producing award-winning projects. He currently teaches in the Asbury University Media Communication program. Devin Brown is a Lilly Scholar and a Professor of English at Asbury University where he teaches a class on the fiction of Lewis and Tolkien. He is the author of seven books, including "A Life Observed: A Spiritual Biography of C.S. Lewis" (Brazos Press, 2013), which will be available for purchase and signing. This event will take place in room 339 of Blanchard Hall at Wheaton College and is free and open to the public.
