Description
Come back to the Fair – the DuPage County Fair for Big Time Fun! The fair will run from Wednesday, July 21 through Sunday, July 25. Five day Season Pass is available for $30. Daily admission to the fair is $10 for adults, $3 for children 3 to 12 years of age, and 2 years and under is free. Seniors 62 and over will be free on Wednesday through Friday from 8 am to 3 pm. The DuPage County Fair is located on Manchester Road east of County Farm Road. Parking is plentiful and free.
“Come back to the fair”, says Jim McGuire, President of the DuPage County Fair Board. This year our four nights of grandstand concerts are only $10 each with your fairadmission! We have a great lineup featuring American Idol Runner-up Danny Gokey at 8pm on Wednesday and the Laser Spectacular“The Spirit of Michael Jackson” at 9 pm on Thursday. Friday will be DuPage Rocks day with several local bands, impersonators and featuring a special new group, Gold Motel. Saturday is Blues Night featuring Chicago Bluesmen Lonnie Brooks & Eddy “The Chief” Clearwater at 8pm, andSunday will be the always popular Demolition Derby to be held at 2 pm and 7pm for $7 per ticket, per show with fair admission. “We have something for everyone”, says McGuire.Our fair is a great family event in Wheaton, with animal displays and competitions daily, commercial exhibits, agricultural learning and hands-on activities for all ages, horse shows, home economics contests, lots of free entertainment in the Entertainment Tent, the Balster’s Magic Stage and the Kid Bucks Stage, plus some acts roaming the grounds. Of course, there will be a huge variety of delicious food in two food courts, and along the midway.
Fantasy Amusementswill provide a huge carnival midway with rides for young and old. Don't forget the Mega Pass for $20 which includes fair admission, but must be purchased before the Fair. The Mega Pass is good for unlimited Carnival Rides from 11 am to closing on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday only. It does not include Bungee Ride and Fear Factory. Check our website, www.DuPageCountyFair.org for information on our “Pillowcase Challenge—make a pillowcase and get one free admission with one paid adult admission. The pillowcases will be donated to Central DuPage Hospital for children ages 2-17 with life changing illnesses and injuries.
Also, consider entering our “Ghirardelli Chocolate Championship” contest or the “King Arthur Flour Great Cake Contest”. Entries will be judged at the Fair on Saturday, July 24in the Entertainment Tent at 9 am and 10 am respectively.
