Description
Join us at the Wheaton Public Library Friday, March 3, from 10 a.m. till Noon when the League of Women Voters of Wheaton will be presenting a children's program, "Voting Is Your Superpower - Making Democracy Work." Even though children aren't old enough to vote, they're not too young to learn about democracy and voting because children's opinions matter! Children will learn through hands-on activities. No registration for this event is needed; stop by the Wheaton Library with children (K-5) to learn about voting and democracy together. Note: This program is intended for children and their caregivers to participate together; drop offs are not allowed.
Voter Registration. Do you need to register to vote? Have you moved or changed your name? League volunteers will also be registering voters; please bring two (2) forms of identification, one (1) with your current name and your current residence and one (1) with either your current name or your current residence. Volunteers can also show interested voters how to check their registration status, request a Vote-By-Mail ballot, or sign up to be an Election Judge.
Did you know that you can vote at any DuPage County Early Voting Site or any polling place on Election Day (April 4)? You can find your sample ballot, polling places, dates and times at https://www.dupagecounty.gov/VoterLookup/.
Learn more about candidates from the League of Women Voters' non-partisan interviews, events, and video voter guides. Election information posters and flyers in English and Spanish are available for you to download and share at your businesses. Visit our website at https://my.lwv.org/illinois/wheaton/voting.
