Description

For a special Wheaton Chamber Holiday treat, Pearls of the Universe artist,
R.J. Ogren will present and demonstrate his incomparable Disney magic.
R.J. Ogren will present and demonstrate his incomparable Disney magic.
R.J. was one of the four original audio animatronic management artists at Walt Disney World in the 70's and early 80's. He worked on all the human and animal figures, sets and murals in the Magic Kingdom in all the attractions including Pirates of the Caribbean, The Haunted Mansion, Peter Pan and It's a Small World.
He is an artist, muralist, architectural renderer, cartoonist model builder and scenic designer/scenic artist and actor. He is currently painting the "Pearls of the Universe" mural on a 70' by 20' exterior wall for the city of Wheaton which will be completed in the spring when the weather warms up. He recently painted a mural for Disney and The Museum of Science and Industry exhibit of The Treasures of the Walt Disney Archives and he is now designing, building and painting miniature sets for a movie.
R.J. has painted hundreds of commissioned paintings, portraits and murals over the years. His paintings include work for Liza Minneli, Sonny and Cher, John Davidson, Gloria Swanson, Neil Armstrong and Senator Bill Nelson. He has received eight scenic design/scenic art Colby awards at Wheaton Drama where he was recently on the Board of Directors.
