Description
Wheaton Public Library is proud to hold its second annual community-wide reading and book discussion program this October with Wheaton Reads: Sherlock Holmes. The program encourages residents to read for pleasure, to create community through reading, and to promote the exploration of ideas and knowledge. The featured book will be The Hound of the Baskervilles, which is available for free as a downloadable eBook. Sherlock Holmes first appeared in publication in 1887 and was featured in four novels and 56 short stories. Today, Sir Conan Arthur Doyle?s legendary detective has been the inspiration for countless stories and characters, including the two successful television shows, Sherlock and Elementary. We?ll be celebrating all month with special events and discussions, plus related contests, prize drawings, displays, and more! Please join us and discover why Sherlock remains the top detective in the mystery genre.
