Description
Author Andy Crouch will deliver a lecture at Wheaton College titled "Redeeming the Gift of Power." Andy Crouch is the author of "Playing God: Redeeming the Gift of Power" (IVP Books, 2013) and "Culture Making: Recovering Our Creative Calling" (IVP Books, 2008), which received Christianity Today's 2009 Book Award for Christianity and Culture. Crouch is executive editor of Christianity Today and a senior fellow of the International Justice Mission's IJM Institute. This is the 12th Annual Ivan J. Fahs Memorial Lecture, created in memory of sociology professor Dr. Fahs who served faithfully at the College from 1981-2001. The lecture is co-sponsored by Wheaton College's Department of Sociology and Anthropology, the Center for Applied Christian Ethics, and a new Wheaton College institute Opus: the Art of Work.
