Description
The Billy Graham Center Museum at Wheaton College presents an exhibit by letterform artist Timothy Botts. The exhibit, titled "Messiah," is a collection of 24 calligraphic works based on composer George Frideric Handel's popular oratorio by the same name. The exhibit takes viewers through a complete Christological narrative set forth by the scriptural text and Handel's picturesque music. Timothy Botts graduated from Carnegie-Mellon University where he studied calligraphy and earned a BFA in graphic design. He has designed more than 600 books at Tyndale House Publishers including several of his own. He teaches, mentors, and curates exhibits for artists and organizations regularly, most recently founding Masterpiece Ministries an arts outreach to high school students.
