Democracy or Hypocracy? Israel & Illegal Settlements
Join us at First Presbyterian Church of Wheaton at 4:00 PM on Sunday, October 26, for a free presentation by Jeff Halper, Jewish activist, Israeli citizen born in Minnesota, and Nobel Peace Prize nominee, who is fighting for the rights of Palestinians to keep their homes from being demolished to build houses in illegal settlements. Jeff is the founder of The Israeli Committee against House Demolitions (ICAHD), and a free-will offering will be taken for his organization.
While Israel constantly tells us that they are the only democracy in the Middle East, they fail to mention they have restrictive laws against Christians and Arabs and their illegal demolition of over 40,000 Palestinian homes to build new homes for illegal settlements. America sends billions of dollars in aid to Israel, and they spend it on ripping apart the lives of people who are in their way.
