Description
Wheaton College hosts an interactive presentation titled "Considering a Gap Year Before College?" by Dr. Rob Ribbe. Dr. Ribbe is an assistant professor of Christian Formation and Ministry at Wheaton College and founder of Vanguard Gap Year, a gap year program for 18-20 year old high school graduates seeking a formative educational experience prior to enrolling in college. He also serves as Director of HoneyRock, Wheaton College's outdoor center for leadership development in Three Lakes, Wisconsin. Research shows gap year students are more motivated in their studies, more engaged in campus activities and are happier in their careers. Dr. Ribbe will talk about the benefits of a gap year and help parents determine if a gap year is right for their student.
