Wheaton, IL, May 1, 2023 – Heading into its 65th summer, Cantigny Park is adding new programming, enhancing the visitor experience, and honoring service and community through various events and partnerships.
New on the calendar are outdoor evening programs for adults and families Wednesdays through Fridays; the most live music in Cantigny’s history with an improved sound system; and extended park hours until 10 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday.
Signature Events. Summer 2023 also will feature three premier events for visitors to enjoy:

“This summer we’re making Cantigny come alive after a five-year multi-million-dollar renovation,” said Tim Knight, president and CEO of the Robert R. McCormick Foundation. Our new programming will enliven the gardens and green spaces with music, refreshments, and plenty of family-friendly activities. We are also excited for visitors to see how enchanting the park is at night with the new lighting, pathways, and revitalized grounds.”

Salute to Service. Cantigny is proud to honor America, our veterans, and those currently serving in the military. Upcoming events and programs include:
Cantigny Spring Fling & Market. On Saturday, May 13, flower and garden fans can celebrate spring with greenhouse tours and a festival outside the greenhouse featuring live music, yard games, and food trucks. The day also calls for a vendor marketplace with local, hand-crafted goods in the Visitors Center and tours in the gardens.

Summer Concerts. The park is hosting 19 weekend and holiday concerts starting May 28, all listed on the Cantigny.org calendar. A limited number of Concert Season Passes are available at a discounted price. New this year, guests may purchase daily park admissions and special event tickets in advance.

“The online purchase option will save time at the front gate and guarantee a parking space on the summer’s busiest days,” said Matt LaFond, Cantigny Park executive director.
Summer Nights. Special programming every Thursday evening begins on June 8. Each week will have a focal event or theme, such as Bark in the Park, a Shakespeare play, and Music in the Gardens.
Moonlit Movies. Some things are more fun outside! Families know that Friday nights are movie time at Cantigny, and this summer the park debuts a 40-foot inflatable screen, pre-show live music, and expanded food and beverage concessions.
