Preschool and PreK Lead Teacher

We seek experienced and enthusiastic lead preschool/preK teachers (3yrs - 5yrs) to implement a program that promotes each child's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development, per the Primrose Balanced Learning® approach to teaching and learning.

Our ideal candidate has the following:
- A strong commitment to building positive relationships with staff, families, and the community.
- Must meet basic requirements of Illinois DCFS (https://www2.illinois.gov/dcfs/aboutus/notices/Documents/Rules_407.pdf)
- Associate, Bachelor, or master's degree in ECE or related field preferred; CDA also considered.
- Previous teaching or assistant teaching position in a licensed early childhood program preferred.
- Knowledge of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children.
- A passion for early childhood education and a vision of excellence.
Responsibilities of this role:
- Responsibility for the overall supervision and daily class functions of the classroom;
- Implements the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule in accordance with the Primrose Balanced Learning® curriculum and programming.
- Track children’s progress and report to parents with our pediatric-endorsed assessment;
- Maintains an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore, and confidently make decisions consistent with health and safety standards.
