The paintings of Belgian Surrealist René Magritte have fascinated viewers since before WWII, many finding his works as intellectually challenging as they are visually appealing. In this slide lecture, art historian Jeff Mishur will discuss Magritte's relationship to the Surrealist movement and will place his paintings in historic context.
