The Wheaton College Symphony Orchestra performs a fall concert at 8 p.m. Saturday, November 12. The orchestra will perform Dvorak’s Symphony No. 7 in D minor and accompany vocalist Denise Gamez as she sings Falla’s Seven Popular Spanish Songs. Ms. Gamez is a mezzo soprano and adjunct voice teacher at Wheaton College. Dr. Daniel Sommerville, associate professor of orchestral music and conducting at Wheaton, will conduct the performance.
The concert takes place in Edman Memorial Chapel, located on the northeast corner of Washington and Franklin streets in Wheaton. Tickets are available only at the door and cost $10 for general audience and $5 for students and seniors over 60, and free admission for children 18 and under.
