A free, meditative program of art song, also including early French Baroque sacred solo work on Lamentations 5. It is also the world premiere of a new song cycle for voice and piano, Pilgrimage by Mona Williams Coalter. Performers include Elizabeth Shuman, soprano; Matthew Gemmill, piano; and Jaco Mau, poetry. The works selected will expose the audience to the refugee crisis while emphasizing an opportunity to respond to our shared humanity. A free will offering will be taken for World Relief DuPage/Aurora, an organization here in Wheaton offering services to refugees in our community.
