Enjoy an evening of classical Indian ragas, original compositions, and even the Beatles, played on a variety of traditional instruments as Sandalwood provides a musical soundscape that is relaxing, therapeutic, and stimulating to the chakras.
Sandalwood Sitar Music Ensemble was founded in 1999 by husband and wife, Clar and GiGi Monaco of Chicago who started their study of Indian music in the early 1990s. Ensemble musicians may also include: Sean Murphy, Sitar; Payal Sud, Tamboori and Percussion; Dharminder Singh, Tablas; Raju Deshmukh, Tablas; Puranlal Vyas, Tablas, Dholak; and Amee Majmumdar, Violin.
