The Sociology and Anthropology Department at Wheaton College presents its eighth annual Ivan Fahs Memorial Symposium. Calvin College's Associate Professor of Anthropology Mwenda Ntarangwi will deliver the lecture.
Dr. Ntarangwi has a specific interest in how social justice issues are expressed and experienced through popular culture. He is the author of Gender Performance and Identity: Understanding Swahili Cultural Realities Through Song, and has written numerous articles on gender, identity and pedagogy.
