Glen Ellyn/Wheaton 2016 CROP Hunger Walk

Description

The Glen/Wheaton area 2016 CROP Hunger Walk steps off at 2pm Sunday, May 1 at St. Matthew United Church of Christ, 1420 S. Gables Blvd., Wheaton. Registration is at 1pm The family-friendly walk of roughly three miles which begins and ends at the church will take place partially on the Prairie Path and circle back along Wiesbrook Road. Participants are asked to bring a non-perishable food item. There will be games and face painting for the children. Families are also invited to pack food items for local food pantries after the walk is completed. The walk raises money for the Peoples Resource Center, the DuPage Senior Citizens Council, the Glen Ellyn Food Pantry and the Glen Ellyn Walk-In ministry, as well as Church World Service.
