This is a Call to Arms for the people of Wheaton! If you have any photographs, letters, artifacts or memorabilia related to Wheaton in WWI, bring them to the Wheaton Public Library where they will be scanned or photographed using a flatbed scanner or a digital camera. Arrangements will need to be made for delicate items that are inappropriate for a flatbed scanner. A digital archive will later be created for public access via the Library and the City of Wheaton Historic Commission.
Anyone who brings in items for historical recording will receive a free copy of the electronic archive Wheaton in WWI on DVD. All items must be related to Wheaton or its residents.
Drop-ins are welcome but reservations are recommended. For further information or to make a reservation for scanning your WWI items, email wheatonhistoriccommission@gmail.com help us preserve the memories of Wheaton during the Great War
