The College Union at Wheaton College presents singer/song-writer Ben Rector in concert at 8 p.m. Saturday, November 19.
Rector is an American pop/rock musician based in Nashville, Tennessee. In 2006, as a college freshman, he recorded a song which won the grand Prize in the pop category of the John Lennon Songwriting Contest, making him the youngest award winner in that category. His latest recording, Something Like This was released in September 2011.
The concert takes place in Coray Alumni Gym, located at 421 Chase Street in Wheaton. Corey Crowder will open the show. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Advance tickets are $12 for general admission / $10 for students and can be purchased through the Wheaton College Bookstore or through www.brownpaperticket.com.
