Join Neil Yamamoto, Education Outreach Coordinator at the Battleship Missouri for a presentation about the USS Missouri and her role in the end of World War II. The USS Missouri’s place in history was immortalized on September 2, 1945 in Tokyo Bay, Japan, as the ship was the site of Japan’s formal surrender to the allied powers, ending World War II. He will discuss the USS Missouri’s role as the site of the surrender ceremony, and her role throughout the latter part of World War II.
