CSA's string ensemble performs under the direction of Julie Maura Bickel. The group consists of 26 advanced violinists\, violists\, cellists and pianists ages 11-17 that have been trained through the Suzuki method\, some beginning as young as 3 years old. The group has toured in Europe\, Asia\, Canada and the US as well as performing at local venues including the Symphony Center\, Drury Lane\, Paramount Theater and Chicago-area TV affiliates. The program includes music by Bach\, Vivaldi\, Mozart and Shostakovich\, as well as familiar toe-tapping favorites "Hoedown from Rodeo" and "Orange Blossom Special." Vivaldi Springs will present this same program as they travel to Japan this summer.
