Her ministry grew out of tragedy. In 1975\, her husband and 21-month-old daughter were killed by a drunken driver. Paula survived the accident and gave birth to another daughter six months later.\n\n\n\nPaula D'Arcy is the author of several books including When People Grieve\, Gift of the Red Bird\, Seeking with All My Heart\; and A New Set of Eyes. She is the founder of the Red Bird Foundation which ministers to people in prison\, to the disadvantaged\, and to those in need of healing.
