Non-profits play an important role in ensuring that the needs of the people with in their communities are met with efficiency and compassion\, as well as contributing to the culture and social mores in their respective regions. \n\n \n\nGovernment impacts non-profit organizations in many of the same way it impacts business. Policy can affect non-profit in a number of ways\, including cost of operation\, expansion (zoning laws)\, and the ability of donors to contribute to the organization.
