DESCRIPTION:The J. Dennis Hastert Center for Economics\, Government\, and Public Policy hosts a lecture by Steven L. S. Smith titled\, "Is Economic Growth Moral?" at 7 p.m. Thursday\, January 17.\n\n		\n\n		Dr. Smith is professor of economics at Gordon College. A former visiting scholar at the U.S. International Trade Commission\, he earned his Ph.D. from Stanford University. His teaching and research focuses on international economics and economic development. He is co-editor of Faith & Economics\, the review published by the Association of Christian Economists.\n\n		 \n	\n		In Thursday evening's lecture\, he will present moral and policy arguments related to human flourishing and economic growth\, including a discussion on the morality of wealth. \n	\n		Free and open to the public\, this event takes place in Coray Gym\, located in the Todd M.
