DESCRIPTION:This year's ESL Ministry Conference is titled "Teaching English with Integrity and Effectiveness."\n\n\n\nDr. Jan Dormer\, Assistant Professor of TESOL(Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) at Messiah College\, will be the plenary speaker for the conference. While on the mission field in Indonesia\, Brazil\, and Kenya\, she developed ESL programs for an international school and a master of education program for Indonesian teachers. Dormer is the author of Teaching English in Missions: Effectiveness and Integrity (William Carey\, 2011)\, which explores a Christian perspective on English language teaching.\n\n\n\nIn addition to the plenary address\, the conference offers a dozen practical workshops divided into three tracks: Professional\, Volunteer and Ministry. This conference is designed to assist new volunteers or professional teachers in developing quality ESL programs for their communities\, and provide opportunities to network with people who have experience in ESL outreach.
