DESCRIPTION:You're invited to a special holiday attraction honoring Colonel McCormick's philanthropic legacy. The McCormick Museum's Christmas decorating features seven special trees\, each decorated by a local nonprofit organization chosen because their missions involve issues or causes that were important to Robert McCormick during his lifetime. Charities include: DuPage Children's Museum\, DuPage Community Foundation\, DuPage Senior Citizens Council\, Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwestern Indiana\, Giving DuPage\, Literacy DuPage\, and the People's Resource Center. \n\n	 \n\n	After your visit\, vote for your favorite tree and spread holiday cheer by donating on site to one or more of the seven participating agencies. The Robert R. McCormick Foundation is providing up to $20\,000 in matching funds and grants. In addition the highest vote getter receives an additional $2\,500.\n\n	 \n\n	The trees decorated by these organizations will be positioned throughout the McCormick Museum\, with two trees in the Gold Theater and five on the first floor. Don't miss the stunning 18-foot tree in Freedom Hall\, decorated by Phillip's Flowers & Gifts and the fireplace mantles decorated by Kio Kreations.
