DESCRIPTION:Free program\; all are welcome to attend. The program is offered as a hybrid\; please register for in-person or Zoom. \nThe Wheaton Public Library in partnership with the League of Women Voters of Wheaton\, Central Kane County\, Glen Ellyn\, Naperville\, and Roselle-Bloomingdale invite the public to their next Civic Awareness Series program on Thursday\, July 20\, from 7 - 8:30 pm. \n\nDuPage County Board Members Liz Chaplin and Sam Tornatore\, co-chairs of the ad hoc Committee on Affordable Housing\, will present the preliminary findings of the committee as the county looks to the future.\n\nThe committee has begun to study a definition of affordability\, evaluating the impact of local county policies on current development opportunities\, analyzing actions of past boards that attempted to increase the affordable housing supply\, and determining what resources are available to address the needs.\n\nRegister HERE to attend this event in person at the Wheaton Public Library located at 225 N Cross Street in Wheaton OR participate virtually via Zoom.
