DESCRIPTION:Join us at First Presbyterian Church of Wheaton during Advent and Christmas 2019\, and invite your friends and family!  Worship services on December 8\,15\, and 22 are at 8:30 and 11:00 am with an education hour for all at 9:45 am.\n\n\n\nOver 2\,000 years ago the people of Israel were weary of waiting for their Savior. Most were caught off guard when he was born in a stable. Like them\, we often give up on our prayers\, believing nothing is going to happen. Just when we aren't looking for God\, he often shows up and intervenes when we least expect it. In this series\, Pastor Kellen Smith will share stories of people who experienced unexpected visitations in the Christmas story.\n\n\nPastor Kellen Smith's message on the third Sunday of Advent\, December 15\, 2019\, is "Mary Visits Elizabeth" based on Luke 1:39-45.   We will also enjoy our annual Lessons and Carols Service this week at both the 8:30 and 11:00 am worship services.\n\n\n\nServices on December 24 will include our Children-Led Family Service in the Ministry Center at 4:00 pm as well as Candlelight Communion Services  at 6:00\, 8:00\, and 10:00 pm in the Sanctuary.\n\n\n\nThere will be only one worship service on Sunday\, December 29\, 2019\, at 10:00 am in the Sanctuary.
